From take-away, make-your-own kits, and vacuum packed just heat up meals, your favourite restaurants and cafés are adapting to the new way of life and fast changing their approach. Some venues are even doing happy hour – delivered!

The RSPCA Needs You!
The RSPCA is calling on self-isolating Aussies to foster a pet. In the current climate of social distancing and self-isolating, the RSPCA is looking for Aussies to take on pets in need of a temporary home for around two to four weeks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Across the country, the RSPCA’s Foster Care program helps to put all animals great and small recovering from surgery, undergoing rehab or too small or young to be adopted into temporary accommodation until they’re ready to be placed in their forever home.
And if you grow too attached to your new furry friend, animal adoption fees have been reduced indefinitely.

Pub Choir Now Couch Choir
Brisbane-born Pub Choir began as a way to draw people together to learn harmonies and record popular songs. Now, in the wake of COVID-19, they have evolved and received 1,000 videos from across the world as they strive to bring people together during social isolation.
For Couch Choir, singers were encouraged to visit the Pub Choir Facebook where three videos of different harmonies were published to encourage participants to record themselves singing at home.

Italians Sing, Dance, and Watch Together from Afar
Living life under complete lockdown for a couple weeks now, our Italian neighbours are combatting social isolation on their balconies and through their windows and coming together to sing in unison, read poetry and literature, dance, and even project movies on walls.
With such strict social restrictions in place, another social media initiative has seen Italians put up signs outside their homes saying “andra tutto bene” or “everything will be OK”. The slogan is accompanied by a picture of a rainbow — often drawn by children at home as school is cancelled.
